摘要

数字由于其计数功能，对我们的生活很重要，习语是语言的重要部分，是一个民族语言的精华。他们的结合，数字习语，可以非常直观的反映一个民族的文化特色，所以从文化角度进行英汉数字习语的研究不仅有助于我们熟悉中西方语言的精华和核心，对第二语言的习得产生很大的帮助，更重要的是有助于帮助人们理解数字习语差异背后的民族文化特色，促进各民族之间的文化交流。

本文旨在对比英汉民族数字习语的差异，即结构差异、文化内涵差异、虚指差异、表达习惯差异和偏好禁忌差异，然后探讨产生差异的原因：包括神话传说、风俗习惯和地理环境、宗教信仰、思维方式、民族心理和价值观念。从而更加深入的了解各民族文化的异同，促进对西方语言的文化认知。
