Translation of Prepositions in Business English Correspondence

Abstract

Todays, there are many studies on prepositions and applications in business English correspondence. With the increasing growth of Internet and the rapid development of international trade, business English has played an important role. First, prepositions are infrequently used function words in business English, and quite different expressions from the application of Chinese, even have more complicated meanings. Second, there are very strict in preciseness of contracts and rightness of words. 

The purpose of this paper is figure out the translation and function of prepositions in business English correspondence, which is beneficial to people who work for foreign trade to correctly express information. So, correct understandings and accurate translations of prepositions will have a direct impact on the translation and quality of English correspondence in the international trade, even on the final result of business negotiations.  

The writer draws a conclusion and a supplement to the previous research.
