Thoreau's Philosophy of Life in Walden

Abstract
On the quiet shore of Walden Pond, Thoreau explores the life and freedom with a deep and unique sense, calling on people to focus on the essential of life, get rid of interference from non-life, return to the true life, respect and love for nature. In real life, on the one hand, people are disturbed by the material and noise of society, in which money worship and hedonism are on the increase; On the other hand, with the development of industry and commerce, more natural resources are being unreasonably plundered, causing ecological unbalance and environmental deterioration. On the bases of simplicity, solitude and freedom, this paper analyses the essence of philosophical life in Walden. The ideal philosophy of life is discussed by addressing the relationship between individual and individual, individual and society, individual and nature.
