Analyzing Humorous Discourses in Two Broke Girls Based on the Adaptation Theory

摘要

对幽默话语已有的研究主要从认知学、功能语言学、语义学、逻辑学和心理学等角度展开，从顺应论角度对影视剧幽默的解读还不多。本论文以顺应论为理论基础，以《破产姐妹》为语料来源，重点解读其中的幽默话语。研究结果表明，在美国情景喜剧《破产姐妹》中，幽默话语是说话人语言选择的结果，这也是是顺应心智世界、社交世界和物理世界的结果。本研究能拓宽顺应理论研究的范围，同时对于赏析美国幽默情景剧具有一定的积极意义。

Abstract

Previous studies on humorous discourses were mainly from perspectives of cognition, function, semantics, logic and psychology and few discussed humorous discourses on the adaptation theory. This thesis analyzes humorous discourses in Two Broke Girls based on the adaptation theory. It shows that humorous discourses are the result of the speaker’s making a choice of language and also the result of adaptation to the mental world, the social world and the physical world. This thesis can broaden the scope of the study of the adaptation theory. And it is beneficial for people to appreciate American sitcoms.
