摘要

随着社会的不断发展，女性的自我价值意识也在不断提高，女权主义不断高涨。而《围城》中所描写的那个时代的中国由于男尊女卑的落后思想浸透于社会的各个角落，当时大部分女性难以看到她们的自我价值，但同时也有部分女性敢于斗争，敢于追求自我价值的实现。而同时期的美国，女性文学发展迅猛，女性自我价值在文学作品中得到充分的体现，给当时的美国女性带去了精神的引领。《飘》则以美国内战为背景来描写了一位女性的成长。多年来，中美女性的自我价值在文学作品中的体现受到了许多国内外学者的研究，而笔者对这中美两部文学作品里的女性自我价值进行对比研究，分析二者的自我价值观的差异，揭示社会发展，历史文化，以及女性的成长环境对女性的自我价值认识的影响，从而引导现代社会的女性形成正确的自我价值。
