《白噪音》中的精神生态解读_英语论文

摘要
唐·德里罗是美国著名的作家,在国内外获得过很多奖项。《白噪音》被认为是他最有影响力的一部作品,奠定了其在文学史上的地位。这部作品主要讲述了格拉迪尼教授一家在逃亡途中遭遇了空中毒雾事件,随即产生了对死亡的恐惧。国内外许多的学者从不同的方面对其进行了研究。本课题拟从精神生态的角度出发,探索作者如何通过使用精神生态这一理论来揭示这部作品的主题
本文由五章组成。第一章主要介绍了唐·德里罗、《白噪音》及前人对这部作品的研究。第二章主要介绍精神生态主义。第三章揭示了精神危机在文章中的体现,第四章介绍了是精神危机产生的原因,主要从大众传媒和科技的发展两个方面进行了阐述。第五章是结论部分,对全文进行概括总结。

Abstract
Don Delillo is a famous American writer and he has won various awards at home and abroad. White Noise is considered as his best work and establishes the status of the author in the history of literature. The novel mainly depicts that the Gladneys suffer from the toxic event on their way to the safe place and they generate a sense of fear of death. Many scholars have carried on researches about the novel from many different aspects. This thesis will analyze it from the aspect of spiritual ecology, exploring how the author uses the theory to highlight the theme of the novel.
The thesis is made up of five chapters. Chapter one introduces Don Delillo and White Noise and the previous studies about the novel. Chapter two gives a specific explanation of the spiritual ecology. Chapter three explores the human spiritual crises conveyed in the novel. Chapter four introduces the influence of mass media and technology on people’s life and points out that they lead to the spiritual crisis. Chapter five is the conclusion, summarizing the main points of the whole thesis.
