摘要

本论文结合爱伦·坡的经典哥特式小说文本，对坡文章中哥特式元素和美学理论的运用进行分析。本论文首先介绍了哥特式文化的起源和哥特式元素的典型特征；其次阐述并展开分析了坡的美学思想和他独特的效果美学理论；然后，通过对爱伦·坡具有代表性的文本中哥特式元素的运用进行分析，本论文从静态描写、情节设置、人物塑造和精神分析这四个方面展现坡如何把哥特式元素作为烘托美学效果的手段；最后，本论文总结了哥特式元素在坡的小说中起到的具体美学作用和传达的美学价值，从而更好地解析坡是如何把哥特元素作为烘托美学效果的手段，传递自己独特的美学思想。体现了坡将哥特式元素和美学思想相结合的独特写作手法所蕴含的重要价值。
