从译者主体性看《茶花女》的译本差异_英语论文
Differences in Chinese Translations of The Lady of the Camellias from the Translators’ Self-identities
摘要
从古至今,同一作家的同一作品同时有几种译本出现,《茶花女》就是其中一例。《茶花女》是法国著名作家亚历山大•小仲马以自身故事为原型的代表作。它是第一部被引入中国的西方文学名著。《茶花女》问世后引起了极大震动,迅即被译成各种文字在世界上广为流传,而《茶花女》的中译本也各有不同。因此,本文将从翻译史上《茶花女》三名译者自我身份角度探讨译者主体性与译本生成之间的关系,即从林纾、夏康农和郑克鲁的自身因素出发,因其身份、素质、思想、所处环境不同,译者对于原文的处理不同,其中包括对语言的删减和结构的分布等,译文所体现的伦理观念和价值观念也不同。选取《茶花女》的译本中几个具有特定时代背景的译者,分析他们的自身翻译特点,研究其各自所译的《茶花女》译本特点,从而对《茶花女》著作本身有更深刻的了解与体会。

Abstract
Since ancient times, for the same work of the same writer, here have been many translation versions.The Lady of the Camellias is one of these works. The Lady of the Camellias is the representative work of Alexandre Dumasfils, a famous French writer with his own story as the prototype. It is the first masterpiece of western literary works introduced into China.Its advent was a great to the world. Then it was in no time circulated in the world, being translated into a variety of languages, and Chinese translations of The Lady of the Camellias are different with each other. Therefore, this paper will explore the relationship between translator's subjectivity and translation generation from the perspective of self-identity of three translators in the translation history of The Lady of the Camellias. In other words, in the perspective of self-factors of Lin Shu, Xia Kangnong, and Zheng Kelu, due to their different identities, qualities, thoughts and environments,their conductions to the original text are accordingly different, including the deletions of the language and the distributions of the structure as well as the ethical concepts and values manifested by the translations. In this paper, I select several translators with backgrounds of specific times of The Lady of the Camellias, to analyze their own translation characteristics and study the features of their respective versions to have a more profound understanding and experience of the masterpiece.
