Symbolization in Black Swan from the Perspective of Semiotics

摘要

从符号学的角度来说，每部电影都具有自己的一套符号系统。电影也是一种符号交际活动。符号在整部电影中充当了思想感情的载体。电影《黑天鹅》是一部充斥着符号化现象的电影，透过该影片的表象我们可以看到一个多重故事体系。大量的隐喻与电影的人物，情节，色彩相互影响和阐释，给观众带来心理以及视觉上的享受。本文试图运用符号学原理，通过对影片中各种符号化意象，如电影重要角色：妮娜母亲，莉莉，贝丝和托马斯以及不同颜色和物品等的剖析来敦促人们追求个性的解放和人性的完善。

Abstract

From the semiotic point of view, each film has its own set of symbol system. A film is also a symbol of communication activities and all symbols are carriers of feelings and emotions in the process of the whole film. The film Black Swan is a film full of symbolic elements. Through the surface phenomenon of metaphor in the film we can see a multi-story system. The large number of metaphors and characters, plot, and colors in the film influence each other, bringing audience psychological and visual enjoyment. This paper attempts to use the principle of semiotics to reveal the social reality and culture, urging people to pursue personality emancipation and humanity perfection by analyzing various images of symbolization in this film, including some main characters, Nina's mother, Lily and Beth, Thomas, as well as different objects and different colors.
