摘要

随着中国经济的不断发展，对外贸易活动的不断增加，商务英语的作用也越来越大。拥有一口流利的英语，能够在商务交往，尤其是对外贸易中，无往不利。优秀的语言技巧不仅能够促进人与人之间的友好交流，加强巩固自身的社会关系，更能推动商务合作的发展。本文首先从语言的技巧和商务会餐的定义开始进行阐述并列举国内外研究学者在这方面的研究现状。接着具体分析语言技巧的客观性，规范性，针对性，劝说性，逻辑性以及隐含性，这些特征能使我们的语言更为严谨，也充分解释了语言技巧在商务会餐中的重要性。接着通过在不同会餐场合中的实际语言运用，分别介绍了在餐桌上如何运用自己的语言技巧来与客户沟通并达成合作以及在商务酒会中，如何开始，维持和结束与交谈目标的会话。最后分析了语言技巧在商务会餐中的影响并进行总结。掌握优秀的餐桌语言技巧不仅能够加深我国国际贸易从业者和国外合作伙伴之间的了解，而且能提高涉外商务谈判中的效率，为国际贸易从业者带来更多的贸易机会和经济利润。

Abstract

With the continuous development of China’s economy, the international trade activities continue to increase and business English capability plays a more and more significant role in these activities. Speaking English frequently can do great help to carry out the business negotiation smoothly and win more business contracts, especially in foreign trade. The excellent language skills can not only promote friendly exchange between people, but also strengthen the consolidation of their social relations and promote the development of business cooperation. This paper first explains the definition of language skills and business dinners, taking the examples of present situations both at home and abroad. Then it makes a concrete analysis of the characteristics of language skills i.e., objectivity, normalization, pertinence, persuasiveness, logicality and implicitness, which makes our language more convincing to our potential clients. Next the paper explains how to talk with clients and build the relationship with examples of practical applications in dinner table and illustrates how to start, keep and end a conversation in right way in a wine party. In the end, the author analyses the influence of language skills in business dinners and comes to the conclusion that wonderful skills in dinner not only deepen the understanding between our international trade practitioners and foreign partners, but also to improve the efficiency foreign-related business negotiations and bring more trade opportunities and economy profits for international trade practitioners.
