摘要

在经济全球化日益发展的今天，我国与世界各国的经济交流越来越密切，经济类信息的传播也越发重要，而当今世界的经济交流中80%以上的新闻信息是用英语写就和传播的，因此国际经济英语新闻也越发重要。经济英语新闻作为一种特殊实用文体，有其独特的风格和特点。本文着重探讨了经济类新闻英语的词汇特点、文体特点及修辞，其内容主要分为五部分：第一章主要介绍了新闻英语的背景，国内外专家、学者的研究现状及本文的研究方法。第二部分简要介绍经济类新闻英语的概念、结构等；第三章从财经术语和数字、简洁性、新的词语的创造与运用、词语的非正式用法和模糊词等方面探讨了经济类新闻英语的词汇特点；第四章通过句法以及语法特征、语篇特征等方面举例分析经济类新闻英语的文体特点第五部分通过对经济类新闻英语中常用的隐喻、拟人和音韵修辞浅析各

种修辞手法及其表达效果。本研究拟为英语经济新闻的阅读者提供一定的语言学指导，使读者能更好的了解经济类英语新闻。

Abstract

With China entering WTO, the international communication becomes increasingly important and necessary. With globalization, economic news report becomes essential for knowing the word instantly. As a special practical genre, economic English news has unique styles and characteristics. This thesis focuses on the lexical features, stylistic features and the rhetoric of economic English news. First of all, the author mainly introduces the research situation at home and abroad and the research methods in this thesis. Part one concentrates on the fundamentals of economic news including the definition and typical structure of economic English news. Part two dwells on lexical features of economic English news. They are lie in：heavy use of economic terms and figures, briefness and concreteness, the creation and application of new words and expressions, informal usage of words and vogue words. Part three reveals the stylistic features from the aspects of syntactic/grammatical features and textual features. Part four the rhetoric of economic English news is discussed. Part five analyzes the characteristics and expressions effects of various rhetorical devices from the perspectives of metaphor, personification and phonetic rhetoric. Last Part as the conclusion gives a summary . This study aims to provide readers with some guidance, so that readers can better understand economic English news.
