摘要

商务英语是专业英语的一个重要分支。在应用语言学中，商务英语是国际商务和英语语言之间的一个有机连接。它是两种规则相互渗透，相互融合的产物，学习商务英语的主要目的是使学生通过英语这个媒介，了解和掌握国际贸易规则，并在此过程中了解商务英语的特殊语言现象，包括词汇、语言、结构、风格等。中国在经济全球化的背景下，以及加入世界贸易组织之后， 整个社会对人才的需求发生改变。因此，高校本科商务英语专业的培训应该以“培养集德、智、体于一身并且有坚实的英语基础的综合人才”为导向，学校应该致力于培养出有能力从事国际商务策划、国际商务谈判、国际贸易、教研和管理的高级应用型人才。
