《飞鸟集》两个英译本中的美学再现比较研究_英语论文

Aesthetic Representation in E-C Translation of Stray Birds----A Comparative Study of Two Chinese Versions

摘要

翻译作为一种艺术活动与美学有着不解之缘，无论从理论上还是实践上,美学对翻译都有一定的借鉴意义。文学翻译不仅仅是文字符号的转换，更重要的是表达原文的意蕴，在风格上尽量与原文保持一致，将原文的审美价值尽可能地传达给译者。本文以通过研究翻译美学的定义和重要性、美学再现的定义和标准以及以泰戈尔的《飞鸟集》为例，根据郑振铎和冯唐两个译者的译本比较呈现出美学理论在翻译中的运用及意义，使读者对美学再现有深层次的理解。在本文中，首先介绍了美学再现的概念，美学再现的标准以及美学再现在诗歌翻译中的重要性。接着简要介绍了泰戈尔的生平，主要作品以及诗歌翻译的风格。笔者先介绍了《飞鸟集》，其次简明阐述了郑振铎和冯唐的两个英译中版本。最后，对于郑振铎和冯唐两个英译中版本，简要地从音韵、词汇、句法和修辞四个层面展示翻译中的美学再现。

Abstract

As an artistic activity, translation is closely connected with aesthetics in terms of theory and practice. Aesthetics is of reference to translation. Literary translation is not just to convert symbols, more importantly, to express the beauty of the original text, which is designed to convey the meaning, style and aesthetic value to the target readers. This paper discussed the definition and importance of aesthetics in translation as well as the definition and standard of aesthetic representation, taking Stray Birds by Tagore as an example, compared two versions by Zheng Zhenduo and Feng Tang to study the application of aesthetics in translation and its significance, which will in turn help readers have a deep understanding of aesthetic reproduction. The paper first introduces the concept of aesthetic reproduction, the standard of aesthetic reproduction and the importance of aesthetic reproduction in poetry translation. Then it briefly introduces the life of Tagore, his main works and his style of writing as well as Stray Birds, followed by a concise comparison of the two versions by Zheng Zhenduo and Feng Tang at phonological, lexical, syntactic and rhetorical levels.
