摘要
本文用目的论来分析北京冬奥会外宣的英译。文章论述了目的论的发展和外宣的语言特点,以北京冬奥会外宣的英译为例,从目的论的翻译原则及要求进行分析。本文认为外宣翻译要依据外宣的呼唤和信息传递功能选择合适的翻译策略,从目的语读者出发,进行符合目的语语言习惯的词汇增删、句式结构调整,对文化负载词进行解释说明,转译、意译等。

Abstract
This thesis takes the skopos theory as the guiding theory to analyze the translation of Beijing Winter Olympics publicity. The thesis mainly studies the translation of Beijing Winter Olympics publicity from the principles of skopos theory, expounding the development of skopos theory and the characteristics of publicity. The author thinks that translators should choose the appropriate translation strategies according to the vocative and informative functions of publicity. The publicity translation should be based on the target language readers. The skills such as emendation of words, making adjustments of sentence structures should be used in the translation practice. As for translating words with Chinese characteristics, translators should adopt paraphrase to make better explanation.
