从目的论角度看化妆品品牌的汉译_英语论文
A Study of E-C Translation of Cosmetic Brand Names From the Perspective of Skopos Theory
摘要
化妆品商标具有广告功能、辨识功能和审美功能,商标的翻译应以兼顾这三种功能为基本原则,达到促进消费者购买的目的。目的论提出翻译过程中最重要的是确定翻译的预期目的和功能。本论文从目的论角度出发,探讨了英语商标汉语过程中,其原有的广告功能、辨识功能和审美功能的传递。通过对大量成功的护肤产品、彩妆产品的译例分析,得出零译法、音译法和直译法是英语商标翻译常用的翻译方法。

Abstract
The brand name of cosmetics has the functions of advertisement, identification and aesthetic appreciation. In order to promote the sales of products, and the translation of brand names should take the three functions as the basic principle. Skopos theory, as the most important part in German functionalist translation theory, proposes that the most important thing in the translation process is to determine the intended purpose and function of translation. This paper discusses how to transfer the original advertising function, identification function and aesthetic appreciation function in the process of E-C cosmetics translation from the perspective of purpose. Analyses on a large number of successful cases of skin care products, cosmetics products show that the zero translation, transliteration and literal translation are common methods of English translation.
