摘要

华兹华斯是英国浪漫主义时期湖畔诗人的代表人物。他对自然有着独特而深刻的见解，在面对自然、接近自然时，他是虔诚且被动的。他对自然的爱和尊崇以及他被动的自然观对后世之人产生深远影响。本文试着从华兹华斯诗歌中的主题、意象的选择、诗意想象的运用三方面来分析他被动自然观的具体体现并发掘其被动自然观产生的原因。正是特殊的时代背景，内心的自我矛盾及自身的经历，促使华兹华斯沉溺自然寻求内心平静。在自我的被动状态中，华兹华斯得到了上帝恩泽，得到启示，得到灵魂的救赎，也达到人与自然的统一。
