摘要

库尔特•冯内古特是上世纪美国文学极富有影响力的后现代小说家之一。《五号屠场》是其在1969年完成的代表作,以冯内古特在二战中的亲身经历为基础,运用虚构的501星球的人的观点描述二战中的德累斯顿大轰炸,展现了20世纪60年代真实的社会历史生活。在五号屠场的文本里,叙事时间和叙事空间表现出很多有别于传统的重大变化。小说的结构安排没有遵循一般的时间顺序,情节之间也没有相互的连贯关系。作者通过对现实时空的淡化和意识时空的强化,运用时空叙事手法表现现实与理想的对照,呈现出这一时期小说家与传统不同的时空观,体现了对19世纪小说叙事模式的超越。

本文以俄国理论家巴赫金的时空体理论为切入点,集中分析了时间叙事及空间叙事在文中的体现,使原本无序的情节建立了有机的连接,从而体现出作家创作中的时空思考。全文分为引言、正文、结论和参考文献四部分。绪论部分首先概述了本课题的研究现状以及选题的意义,之后解释了本文中时间和空间的概念。正文包括对文本及时空体理论的介绍,时间及空间叙事分析,结语部分概括了作者创作中的时空意义，以及从时空角度分析战后文学的必要性。通过对文本时空的细致解读能更加深入地理解作者的写作特点和写作技巧,同时期望这种叙事技巧分析的方法能对以后战后文学作品的研究起到参考作用。

Abstract

Kurt Vonnegut is one of the most influential post-modern novelists in American literature of the past century. He employed his personal experience in World War II and the concept of fictional people's point of view to describe the bombing of Dresden in Slaughterhouse Five, showing the real social and historical life in 1960s. In the text of the Slaughterhouse Five, the time and space narrative does not follow the  chronological order as traditional novels. There is no coherent relationship between each other as well. Through the dilution of the realistic time and space and the strengthening of the space and time of consciousness, the author presents the different spatio-temporal view of the novelist and the tradition in this period, which reflected the transcendence of the narrative mode of the novel in the nineteenth century. 

Through the use of Bakhtin's theory of time and space, this paper focuses on the analysis of the narrative of time and space , thus showing the writer's creative thinking in space and time.

The paper is divided into four parts: Introduction, main body, conclusion and references. The introduction part firstly summarizes the current research situation of the study and the significance of choosing this subject. The first chapter contains the brief introduction to the text and the theory. The body part discusses the time narrative, and space narrative. The conclusion summarizes the significance of time and space as well as the necessity of analyzing postwar literature from the perspective of time and space. Through the careful analyzing of the text from the perspective of time and space I gained a deeper understanding of author’s writing characteristics and skills , expecting the method can be reference for future research on post-war literary works.
