跨文化视角下中西方饮食差异研究_英语论文

A Study of the Dietary Culture Differences between China and Western Countries from Cross-Cultural Perspective

摘要

食物是每个人的基本需要,与人们日常生活的许多方面密切相关。然而,不同的国家和地区对食物有不同的文化。弄清这些差异是很重要的,因为它们直接反映了一个人的文化。因此,寻找中国饮食文化与西方饮食文化的差异,有助于中国文化向世界传播,促进文化交流。否则,可能的沟通障碍导致文化冲突。

本文从跨文化交际角度探讨中西餐饮文化的特点, 然后探讨中西方饮食文化差异, 接着探讨了中西饮食文化的差异及存在的问题。最后,介绍了产生这些差异的原因,并提出了一些建议,以帮助国内外的人们了解文化差异,消除可能存在的沟通障碍。

Abstract

Food is a basic need for everyone which is closely related to many aspects of people’s daily life. However, different nations and regions have different cultures on food. Making sense of these differences is significant because they reflect one’s culture directly. Therefore finding the differences between Chinese dietary culture and western dietary culture will be helpful to disseminate Chinese culture to the world and facilitate cultural communication. Otherwise, the possible communication barriers lead to cultural conflict.

This paper starts with the characteristics of Chinese and western dietary culture from the aspect of cross-cultural communication. Then explores the differences and the existing problems of Chinese and western dietary culture. Finally, the reasons that lead to these differences and some suggestions are introduced so as to help people of home and abroad to understand cultural diversities and cut off the possible communication barriers.
