《唐顿庄园》女性主义分析_英语论文
The Analysis of Feminist in the Downton Abbey
摘要
热播英剧《唐顿庄园》,在全球的热播中颇受好评并获得了无数奖项,其中包括美国电视界最高奖项艾美奖以及全球奖。该剧主要讲述了1912-1914年,乔治五世时期,唐顿庄园的Grantham伯爵一家,由财产继承问题而引发的种种纠葛和摩擦,呈现了上层贵族和其仆人们在森严的等级制度下的人间百态,同时该剧中多名女性角色的言语和行为也反映出了20世纪早期的英国女性主义的观念。传统观念中女性主要是依附于男性,现如今女性在社会中所占据的地位越来越重要,对于如此大的转变,我们有必要了解其中的原因。本文通过《唐顿庄园》中的具体事例来分析20世纪早期英国的女性主义发展状况。本文是基于女性主义的理论通过简单明了的人物对话以及剧情运用对其进行分析概括,希望能够引起人们对当今女性社会地位的关注,减少女性社会歧视现象,提高女性的社会地位。

Abstract
The TV series Downton Abbey has been particularly well received and countless awards including Emmy Award-the best award in America and Global Award are given to it. Downton Abbey illustrates the Earl of Grantham’s various conflicts and trifles aroused by the problem of inheritance succession. A big family’s life under the stiff hierarchy during the period of 1912 and 1914 --- the George V of the United Kingdom is shown. Besides, quite a few female roles’ behaviors and words also reflect the views of feminism in Britain in the early 20th century. In traditional view, women are attached to men but now women occupy an increasing important role in the society. For this big change, we need to study the reasons. This paper analyzes the development of feminism in the early 20th century through the detailed study in the Downton Abbey. The aim of this paper is to arouse people’s attention to women’s social status so as to diminish gender discrimination and improve women’s status.
