摘要

Abstract

1960s witnessed a lot of events in American society, such as Civil Rights Movement, the youth antiwar movement, the women’s liberation movement, serious unemployment and Counterculture Movement. The society was full of anxiety, so Bob used his talents to record and judge the facts. All of these events not only changed the form of American society, but also had great influences on Bob Dylan’s works. Bob Dylan’s works in 1960s can be divided into four periods. In the early four years of 1960s, the rights movements broke out and people wanted to fight for their own rights. Under this situation, Bob Dylan created many songs to encourage people in confusion, such as Blown in the Wind and A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall. Then, between 1964 to 1966, the society became stable, so Bob Dylan changed his style. The second change happened from 1966 to 1968 because of the death of Martin Luther King and Kennedy. Dylan lost his belief, and the themes of his works were close to emotion and life. From 1968 to 1970, his works were full of religious sectarianism.
