礼貌原则视角下的中西方文化差异_英语论文

Cultural Differences between China and Western Countries from the Perspective of Politeness Principle

摘要

随着全球一体化进程的不断加快，不同文化间的交流越来越多。语言是文化的载体，礼貌原则是不同语言交流中的基本准则之一。礼貌原则是在交流过程中保持双方的友好关系、使信息得以顺利进行的必要条件。当然，在不同的语言中，礼貌原则也具有不同的特点和差异。了解这些特点和差异有助于跨文化交际的顺利进行。本文以礼貌原则为理论视角，通过讨论对比中西方文化的特点和差异，来找到造成这些差异的可能原因。

Abstract

With the continuous acceleration of the progress of globalization, there are increasing exchanges between different cultures. Language is the carrier of culture. The politeness principle is one of the basic principles of different language communication. Politeness principle is a necessary condition to keep friendly relations between two sides and to ensure the information to be carried out smoothly in the process of communication. It is obvious that politeness principle has different characteristics in different languages. Understanding these characteristics and differences is conductive to the success of cross-cultural communication. From the perspective of politeness principle, this paper finds the possible causes of these differences through discussing and comparing the characteristics and differences of Chinese and Western culture.
