摘要

当代英国作家珍妮特•温特森的处女作《橘子不是唯一的水果》于1985年出版，并荣获了惠特布莱德首作奖，现已成为英国中小学教师推荐书目。小说主要讲述了女主人公珍妮特在成长过程中因其同性恋倾向而被压制，为追寻自我和真爱走上了与家庭、教会决裂的道路，最后返乡对青少年时期遗留的问题做出抉择的故事。在前人研究的基础上，本文拟从酷儿理论的角度解读小说，探讨女主人公是如何大胆地认同自我性倾向并追求真我和真爱的，具有深远意义且有助于读者更好地理解小说。
