摘要

E.M.福斯特是20世纪英国著名的小说家、散文家和批评家，《印度之行》是其最负盛名的作品。

小说以英国殖民下的印度为背景，以两位英国女士想要见识“真实的印度”为引，围绕几个开明的英国人与印度人阿齐兹的友谊展开，生动地再现了20世纪早期英、印两个民族间的对立和冲突，极具现实意义。

本文从后殖民主义的视角对《印度之行》进行解读,剖析贯穿于小说中的“他者”话语，并思考其产生的原因，进而深入了解作者的反殖民主义意识以及其潜在的殖民主义意识。
