目的论视角下美剧《疑犯追踪》字幕翻译浅析_英语论文

On Subtitle Translation of Person of Interest from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

摘要

随着互联网的发展，各个国家之间的交流日益紧密，许多国外作品被引进到中国国内。字幕翻译对于外国影视作品的流行起着很大的重要性。作为新兴的翻译领域，字幕翻译吸引了很多学者的关注。国外的学者已经取得了不俗的成果，而国内学者还未取得令人满意的成果。为了形成一完整的字幕翻译理论，人们需要投入更多的精力。德国学者佛米尔提出目的论认为翻译是一项有目的的，与原文、译者和读者之间的交际性人类活动，为影视翻译提供了新视角。目的论有三原则：目的原则，连贯原则和忠实原则，其中最重要的是目的原则。本文以美剧《疑犯追踪》为个案，选取剧中典型人物对话从目的论视角分析字幕翻译。

Abstract

With the development of Internet and the communication between China and other countries, many foreign movies have been introduced to the Chinese. Subtitle translation is of great importance to the popularity of foreign movies or TV series in China. As a new field in translation, subtitle translation has attracted much attention. Foreign scholars have made outstanding achievements. On the contrary, domestic research results are far from being satisfactory. A theoretical and complete theory about subtitle translation requires further devotion. German scholar Hans Vermeer’s Skopos theory holds that translation is a purposeful communicative interaction between the original text, translator and reader and has opened a new perspective for subtitle translation. In Skopos Theory, there are three rules that is skopos rule, coherence rule, fidelity rule.  Skopos rule is of most significance which requires that the purpose determines the translation action. Taking Person of Interest as a case, this paper analyzes the subtitle translation of American TV series from the perspective of Skopos theory.
