A Brief Study on China-West Cultural Differences in Light of Different Ways of Drinking Tea

摘要

起源于中国的茶，不仅是世界三大饮料之一，也反映中国独特的文化。以前基于饮茶的研究涉及的领域较多，如东方或西方茶文化介绍、茶文化与咖啡文化对比、茶与宗教的联系、茶的社会功能等等，但是对于茶礼茶俗方面涉及比较少。本文从茶的起源与发展、以及茶礼茶俗方面研究中西方饮茶方式上的差异性,探讨分析差异形成的原因,旨在提升读者对东西方茶文化差异的意识，并推进中国茶文化再发展。

Abstract

Originated in China, tea not only becomes one of the world’s three largest drinks, but also reflects the unique Chinese culture. The scope of the previous tea research involved many aspects: the tea culture in the East or in the West, the cultural comparison between tea and coffee, the relation between tea and religion，its social function and so on. However, teasim and tea customs were less studied. This paper explores the differences in the ways of drinking tea at home and abroad in light of the origin and development of tea, teasim and tea customs. Then it points out and analyzes the reasons for the purpose of improving readers’ awareness of cross-culture communication and the redevelopment of Chinese tea culture.
