从英雄人物形象看中美文化差异_英语论文

A Study of Cultural Differences Between Chinese and American from Heroes

摘要

英雄是文学分析与心理学里常用的概念。英雄是指由于做了勇敢杰出的事情而被大众崇拜的人。几千年来，古代神话的这种尚德精神影响着人们对历史人物的品评与现实人物的期望，决定着社会对人们进行教育的内容与目的，甚至也影响着20世纪以来现代文明的走向。本文以中美著名英雄人物孙悟空和蜘蛛侠为研究对象，从情感、忠诚、个人主义与集体主义、权力距离四方面进行对比分析，探讨中美文化不同,以及对文化不同的原因进行分析。

Abstract

Hero means a person, especially a man, who is admired by many people, or do something brave or good. For thousands of years, the spirit of the ancient mythology has influenced the evaluation of the historical figures and the expectations of the real characters. It has determined the content and purpose of the society to educate people and even influence the modern civilization since the 20th century. This thesis takes the Chinese and American heroes Sun Wukong and Spider-Man as the object of study, analyses these two heroes from five aspects: the emotion, loyalty, individualism and collectivism, power distance and value to explore differences between Chinese and American culture. Besides, it also discusses the causes of cultural differences.
