摘要

《玉米少女》是美国当代作家乔伊斯·卡罗尔·欧茨创作的小说。小说中偏执的女孩绑架了一位金发同学，打算进行一场献祭仪式。这是一个充满焦虑、异化与偏执的黑暗故事。以往的文学批评大多集中探究欧茨小说中的暴力元素，忽略了对小说本质的探索。本文在心理现实主义的视角下对这本小说进行主题分析，指出小说的核心理念是呼唤爱的回归。

论文包括四部分。第一部分简要介绍了心理现实主义与欧茨。第二部分对小说的基本要素进行拆解分析。绑架者裘德的家庭背景和人物性格是她犯罪的导火索，老师米卡尔离群索居的生活方式与疏离的心态是他被卷入这场纷争的原因，单亲母亲莉亚的焦虑来源于生活中没有爱的帮助。第三部分解析小说主题。焦虑、异化和偏执的次主题，反映出了小说的核心主题是爱的缺失与对爱的呼唤。第四部分反思了在心理现实主义视角下进行主题分析的必要性。

最后本文认为，这篇梦魇般的小说实际以大爱为主题，体现了欧茨的创作观。作者借小说角色的心理现实抛出了有关人类生存困境的命题，然后通过小说结局对此做出回答。
