摘要

本文旨在通过分析《一个清白罪人的忏悔录》和《赎罪》中两个主人公的罪与赎罪行为来比较两人的赎罪观。文章从三个方面详细地比较了两本小说的异同：罪行、赎罪内在动因和赎罪方式的异同。通过对这三个方面的分析和比较，论文试图说明两人分别在不同的赎罪观下皆完成了赎罪 。《一个清白罪人的忏悔录》中的罗伯特在神性救赎观的引导下，选择以结束自己的生命来赎罪，并且寄托希望于来世，《赎罪》中的布里奥妮在人性救赎观的引导下，选择以写作和成为一名护士的方式来赎罪，并且着眼于今世。
