摘要

《崩溃》是钦努阿·阿契贝的处女作。本文将深入讨论造成奥康克瓦悲剧的原因。直接原因包括主人公奥康克瓦的父亲给他带来的影响；主人公自身的性格缺陷以及家庭和部落内部环境的影响。间接原因包括西方的殖民文化与非洲传统文化的冲突；氏族内部因素以及伊博社会的弱势。以此来对奥康克瓦这样一个英勇善战、对部落极其忠诚，誓死不向殖民者屈服的悲剧英雄进行了仔细的分析，以期待更好地了解并求证奥康克瓦悲剧命运的成因。

Abstract

Things Fall Apart is the first work of Chinua Achebe’s. This paper aims to make an incisive analysis of the tragedy of its main character of Okonkwo, who is not only skilled at winning battles, but also extremely loyal to the tribe. It points out that the direct causes of the tragedy are the influences of his father, his character flaws, and family and tribal environment and that the indirect causes of the tragedy are the cultural conflict between African culture and Western colonial culture, the internal factors of the clan and the weaknesses of the Igbo society.
