摘要

《野性的呼唤》是美国作家杰克·伦敦的代表作之一。故事的背景是淘金热，在这种特殊的环境下，狗的挣扎表现的淋漓尽致。小说主要描述了主人公巴克，巴克是一只宠物狗，在被骗往北方荒原拉雪橇之后，经历了艰难困苦，最终回归丛林。本文着重分析了巴克蜕变这一过程，从巴克的经历入手，分析了主人公巴克的多重性格，总结巴克转变的重要原因，揭示当时社会人与人之间勾心斗角残酷争夺的本质，在一定程度上揭示了社会状况。

Abstract

The Call of the Wild is one of the representative works of the American writer Jack London. The background of the story is the gold rush. This novel mainly describes the protagonist Buck who is a pet dog. After deceived into northern wasteland to be a sled dog, he experienced hardships and finally returned to the jungle. This paper describes and analyzes the process of Buck’s transformation, through the analysis of Buck’s experiences and his multiple personality, sums up the important factors to Buck’s transformation. This reveals the nature of the fierce competition between people in the society at that time, to a certain extent, it reveals the social conditions at the same time.
