研究《浮生六记》中文化负载词的翻译-以《闲情记趣》为例_英语论文

On the Translation of Culturally-loaded Words in Fu Sheng Liu Ji：Based on Xian Qing Ji Qu

摘要

《浮生六记》是清代文人沈复所写的自传体随笔，书中分为六个部分，《闲情记趣》是其中的第二卷。《浮生六记》中含有许多文化负载词，在翻译过程中，林语堂充分考虑中西文化差异，对不同种类的文化负载词采取了不同的翻译策略。本文选取《闲情记趣》中的文化负载词为研究对象，基于奈达提出的文化五要素理论，对《闲情记趣》中的文化负载词进行分类，然后用林语堂的翻译策略对其中典型文化负载词进行举例分析，探索林语堂对不同文化负载词采取不同的翻译策略的原因。研究发现，《浮生六记》中的社会文化负载词占据的比例最大，译者应该注意此类词语的积累，在翻译中统一表达。林语堂在翻译此类文化负载词的时候，采用异化翻译策略的情况比较多。本研究对文化负载词的翻译研究特别是文化负载词中的社会文化负载词的研究有借鉴意义。

Abstract

Fu Sheng Liu Ji is the essay autobiography written by ShenFu, the Qing Dynasty litterateur. The book is divided into six parts, Xian Qing Ji Qu is one of the second volume. In the process of translation, Lin Yutang fully considered the cultural differences between China and the West, and adopted different translation strategies for different kinds of culturally-loaded words. This paper chooses the culturally-loaded words in Xian Qing Ji Qu as the research object. According to the five elements of culture proposed by Nida, this paper classifies the culturally-loaded words in Xian Qing Ji Qu, then I will use Lin Yutang's translation strategy to analyze translation phenomena of different culturally-loaded words. In this paper, the typical culturally-loaded words are analyzed and the reasons of different translation strategies of Lin Yutang are put forward. Finally, I will explore the universal significance of Lin Yutang 's strategy of translating culturally-loaded words in the future translation studies, and the revelation of the cultural exchanges between China and the West.

The translation strategies of culturally-loaded words are of great significance to translation studies and play an important role in the exchange of different cultures.
