摘要

作为功能词，英语短语介词在英语学习中作用很大，但在学者中很少受到关注。同时，作为语言演化的两种重要机理，词汇化和语法化已经成为语言学界研究的热点之一。本文旨在通过观察典型实例探讨英语短语介词的词汇化和语法化，找出影响英语短语介词词汇化的要素和它们的语法化机制。本文认为，出现频率、语义重叠和语言经济性是英语短语介词词汇化的几个重要影响因素，而重新分析和类比是英语短语介词语法化的重要机制。
