赫尔曼·黑塞《悉达多》的道家思想探析_英语论文

摘要
作为德国著名的作家与诗人,赫尔曼·黑塞一生中著有大量的文学作品,对德国文学乃至世界文学都有着很深的影响,曾荣获1946年诺贝尔文学奖。黑塞的文学作品囊括了其诸多思想,从中可以看出,黑塞的人生观和世界观以及文学创作都深受道家思想的影响。这一点在其著作《悉达多》中尤为明显。《悉达多》以印度为背景,向读者展示了主人公悉达多追求自我的过程,以及作者本人对道家思想的独特理解。
本文试图沿着悉达多由追寻自我到大彻大悟的足迹,对《悉达多》一书进行研读,从而能够探索该作品所蕴含的道家思想,进而挖掘作家黑塞对道家思想的独特理解。希望该研究能给读者带来更深层次地理解黑塞文学与道家思想的关系。

Abstract
Hermann Hesse is a famous writer and poet in Germany. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1946, whose extensive writings had a profound effect on German literature. In his works, Hesse has put forward a variety of his thoughts, and Taoism has a deeply effect on his philosophical value, world view and literary creations, which can be learned from Siddhartha. Siddhartha, set in India, shows readers how Siddhartha seeks self, and the unique understanding of Taoism of the writer.
Taking Siddhartha as the target work, this paper will explore Siddhartha’s course of looking for self so as to discuss Hesse’s absorption of Chinese Taoism. Accordingly, helping readers comprehend the detailed connections between Hesse and Chinese Taoism may become the practical significance of the paper.
