摘要

经研究发现，手机背单词软件越来越受到用户的追捧。这类软件的设计采用了非常丰富的多模态隐喻理念，因此本论文回顾了现有多模态隐喻和英语词汇习得的相关研究，发现针对背单词软件中的多模态的研究较少。所以，本文将试着借助概念整合理论，从语言学角度，研究移动端背单词软件中的多模态隐喻形式，及其特点。总结出：多模态隐喻不仅可以丰富背单词的形式，增加背单词的趣味性，还能拓宽联想，从而达到记忆单词的效果；这些手机背单词软件相比传统的纸质背单词书，承载了更多的信息量，也为使用者提供了更好的便利性。因此更多的英语学习者选择使用移动端的英语背单词软件进行英语学习。
