摘要

阿道司·赫胥黎是20世纪美国杰出的英国作家和批判家，其代表作《美丽新世界》自问世以来受到学界的广泛关注。揭露了随着对工业革命的产生和科学技术的进步，经济在整个社会成为具有支配作用的环节，政治逐渐成为经济的附庸现象。

本论文将从技术控制的角度对《美丽新世界》中的技术控制现象进行分析并将其与现实社会对比，从而对当代社会发展过程中存在的技术依赖问题进行阐发。本论文将运用技术控制相关的理论学派的理论，如法兰克福学派的批判理论和媒介环境理论。首先，本论文将从技术控制的角度出发，分析小说中体现技术控制的情节及其背后隐含的意义。其次，通过对比分析小说中的新世界与21世纪社会发展状况，得出在当代社会中存在技术控制现象的结论。最后，结合本文分析结果综述当代社会现状，为当代信息社会提出可靠议题。本论文旨在根据小说中的种种技术控制现象，为当代社会提出具有建设性的构想与意见。

Abstract

Aldous Huxley is an outstanding English novelist and critic in the 20th century, and Brave New World is his representative work that has been widely studied since its publication. The novel reveals a phenomenon that economy is becoming the pivotal tache of social operation, and polity is becoming economic appendages. 

This thesis will analyze and compare the technical control phenomena between the Brave New World and contemporary society so that people can elucidate the problem of technological and scientific appendages in modern society. The thesis would employ several theories about technology control, for example, Frankfort school’s critical theory and technical ethics. The thesis will analyze the plots of technology control in the novel and implied meaning on behind the scenes. Secondly, the thesis will draw the conclusion of the phenomenon of technology control exist in modern society, through comparing the new world in this novel and the fundamental state of 21th century. Eventually, the thesis will introduce the fundamental state of 21th century and put up forward a reliable issue for modern information society. The thesis aims to provide several instructive recommendations for modern society according to the analysis of phenomena of technical control in this novel.
