摘要

《穿普拉达的女王》是劳伦·魏丝伯格(Lauren Weisberger)写的一部畅销小说。女主人公安迪立志成为新闻作家，大学毕业后却戏剧性地进入了美国最有名气的时尚杂志社，并成为杂志主编米兰达私人助理。经历了一番挫折和磨砺后，安迪赢得了米兰达的青睐和公司的认可，然而安迪却放弃了这份工作，选择追随在大学时希望成为新闻作家的梦想，找到了一份在报社从事编辑的新工作。

本文基于西蒙娜·德·波伏娃的女性主义理论，通过对安迪两次职业选择的分析和解读，总结得出安迪是一个独立的女性，她对完整、充实、有意义的人生有着不懈的追求。希望通过本文分析可以更深入地丰富这部作品所传递出的女性主义精神，揭示安迪在女性主义视角下职业选择转变的内在动机，挖掘小说的艺术特点与深层主题意蕴和文学价值。同时希望能够引起读者对女性的独立与职场女性的成长的关注，倡导女性自我价值的实现。

Abstract

The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger is a best-selling novel. The heroine, Andy, aspired to become a journalist. However, after graduation from college, she dramatically joined the most famous fashion magazine in the United States and became the personal assistant of the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Miranda. After some setbacks and hardships, Andy won Miranda’s favor and company’s recognition. However, Andy gave up this job, chose to follow her dream of becoming a journalist in college, and found a new job as an editor in the newspaper.

Based on Simone de Beauvoir’s feminism theory, through the analysis and interpretation of Andy’s twice career choices, this paper concludes that Andy is an independent woman who has unremitting pursuit of a complete, full and meaningful life. It is hoped that the analysis in this paper will enrich the feminism spirit conveyed by the novel, reveal Andy’s intrinsic motivation for career transformation from the feminism perspective, and explore the artistic features as well as deep thematic implications and literary value of the novel. Hopefully, this essay can arouse readers’ attention to the independence of women and the growth of women in the workplace and advocate the realization of women’s self-worth.
