“反讽”是指一种“正话反说”的语言现象, 即用意义相反的话语来表达真实思想。它常被用来表达诙谐幽默、谴责讽刺、批评蔑视等意义。小说《爱玛》是简·奥斯汀所创作的小说中运用反讽艺术手法最为成熟的代表作。本文旨在探讨小说《爱玛》中反讽艺术手法的运用及其艺术价值。本文分别从修辞反讽、戏剧反讽以及情境反讽三个方面分析反讽艺术手法并详细阐述其在刻画人物形象、推动情节发展和渲染主题三个方面所产生的的影响，以帮助读者能够深刻理解反讽艺术手法在小说《爱玛》中的运用，更清楚地了解当时英国社会人们的婚姻状况以及简·奥斯汀对当时社会价值观的评判，及其创作技巧以及作品的文学价值和现实意义。
