The Impact of Technical Barriers to Trade in the EU on China’s Exports and Its Countermeasures

摘要：在新时期的对外贸易中，技术性贸易壁垒已经成为中国出口的主要障碍。中国面临着越来越多的技术性贸易壁垒，这些壁垒主要来自发达国家，例如欧盟等国家。本文以我国机电产品出口遭受欧盟技术性贸易壁垒为例，从技术性贸易壁垒的概念和特点入手，分析了中国机电出口遭受欧盟技术性贸易壁垒的原因以及欧盟技术性贸易壁垒对中国机电出口的影响。并且，从政府、行业、企业三个层面阐述了我国应对发达国家技术性贸易壁垒的具体措施。

Abstract: In international trade, technical barriers to trade (TBTs) have been the key obstacles to China’s exports in the new era. China is facing more and more TBTs, which mainly come from developed countries, such as the EU. This paper gives a brief introduction about the concept and characteristics of TBTs, takes the example of China’s mechanical and electrical exports suffering the European Union’s TBTs, and makes an analysis of the causes of China’s mechanical and electrical exports suffering the EU TBTs and the impact of the EU TBTs on China’s mechanical and electrical exports. Moreover, the specific measures about how to tackle TBTs in the EU are expounded in three aspects: the government, industry and enterprise.
