On the Aesthetic Representation of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Huang Yuanshen from the Perspective of Translation Aesthetics_英语论文
摘要
《道连·格雷的画像》是19世纪末唯美主义文学的代表作之一,许多译者都曾研究翻译。在其众多译本中,黄渊深的译本是独具特色的译本之一,其美学的再现成为本文的研究目标。本文以刘宓庆的翻译美学理论为基础,分析了黄源深翻译的《道林·格雷的画像》的审美表征。本文中,形式系统和非形式系统是审美对象的两个重要组成部分。其中,形式系统主要从语音层次、词汇层次和句法层次三个层次对翻译实例进行分析,而非形式系统则选择意象和意境两个方面进行分析。通过分析,本文认为黄渊深的译文在遣词造句方面较为谨慎。他在坚持准确性和灵活性的原则下,将直译和意译结合起来,在很大程度上保留了原文的内涵和写作风格。因此,黄渊深的翻译成功地再现了美,实现了译者翻译的目的。

Abstract
The Picture of Dorian Gray is one of the masterpieces of aestheticism literature at the end of the 19th century and has been translated by many translators. Among its many translations, Huang Yuanshen’s version is one of the unique translations, and the representation of its aesthetics becomes the goal of this thesis. Based on Liu Miqing’s translation aesthetics theory, this thesis analyzes the aesthetic representation of Huang Yuanshen’s translation of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Formal systems and non-formal systems are two important parts of aesthetic objects in this thesis. Among them, the formal system mainly analyzes the translation examples from the three aspects of phonological level, lexical level and syntactic level, while the non-formal system selects the two aspects of image and artistic conception for analysis. By analysis, this thesis concludes that Huang Yuanshen’s translation is cautious at diction and sentence-making. He combines literal translation and free translation under the principle of adhering to accuracy and maintaining flexibility, thus he retains the connotation and writing style of the original text to a large extent. Therefore, Huang Yuanshen’s translation successfully reproduces the beauty and achieves the translation goal.
