摘要

 《远山淡影》是著名英籍作家石黑一雄的处女作，出版于1982年。石黑一雄采用了过去与现实结合的方式，讲诉了一位定居英国的日本寡妇在女儿探望期间，回忆起了自己在日本的过去的故事。在该书中，石黑一雄展现了日本普通民众在第二次世界大战后导致的不可愈合的精神创伤，以及他们渴望开启新生活的愿望。本文从精神分析理论的角度探讨了小说主人公的精神状况和心理变化，展现了主人公的精神世界和人格变化，以此启示人们如何去克服战争给内心世界带来的持续影响，并开启新的生活。

Abstract

A Pale View of Hills is the first novel written by the famous English writer Kazuo Ishiguro and was published in 1982. The writer has implied the interwoven interplay between the past and the reality to tell a story about a Japanese widow who had settled in England memorizing her past in Japan during her daughter’s visit. The writer has disclosed the unrecoverable traumatic psychological situation of the ordinary Japanese after the Second World War and their desires to start a new life. From the perspective of psychoanalytic theory, this thesis has analyzed the psychological conditions and changes of the protagonist’s personality structure to show her psychological world and personality disorders, indicating people how to cope with those permanent aftermath caused by wars to their inner world and start a new life.
