摘要

本文通过运用礼貌原则的六个准则，来研究分析委婉语的语用效果。这些委婉语选自国家间常用的商务交际实例，包括商务谈判、商务信函等。通过语用学角度来研究这些委婉语，分析其是否能够对跨文化商务交际活动的顺利进行起作用。研究结果发现，跨文化商务交际中准确使用委婉语，不仅能够缓解尴尬氛围，避免不必要的冲突，而且能够营造良好的交流氛围。而委婉语的准确适用，要密切遵循礼貌原则。但是，不同的文化背景又会衍生出不同的礼貌标准。本文建议，在跨文化商务交际中，说话者不仅要尽量多使用委婉语来表达自己的利益诉求，而且要多学习听话者文化背景下的礼貌标准，遵循其礼貌原则，才能用准确的委婉语来营造一个和谐的氛围，促进商务活动的开展。
