摘要

我国数学在历史发展过程中，不断引入外来的数学思想和理论，欧几里德的《几何原本》就是其中最著名的数学著作之一。准确地翻译数学语言有十分重要的地位和严谨的要求，是数学在我国传播和发展的重要基础。

本文主要以李善兰译的《几何原本》为研究对象。从现代纽马克的翻译理论的角度，细致地分析当时李善兰译本的翻译方法。本文主要研究《几何原本》在翻译的过程当中，相对于底本The Elements的篇幅增删和调整。并且详细地研究了李善兰对数学术语的翻译方法和原则，还根据纽马克的翻译观点剖析翻译中存在的问题。

Abstract

In the process of historical development, mathematics in our country has continuously introduced foreign mathematical thoughts and theories. Euclide’s The Elements is one of the most famous mathematical works. Accurate translation of mathematical language has a very important position and rigorous requirements, which is an important basis for the spread and development of mathematics in China.

This thesis mainly focuses on the translation of The Elements by Li Shanlan. From the perspective of modern Newmark’s translation theory, this thesis carefully analyzes the translation methods of Li Shanlan’s Translation at that time and mainly studies the addition, deletion and adjustment of The Elements in the process of translation. The translation methods and principles of Li Shanlan’s logarithmic terminology are studied in detail, and the problems in translation are analyzed according to Newmark’s viewpoint.
