在这个时代，世界各地的联系越来越密切。连续剧作为一种展现本国文化的重要途径，能让观看者以一种非常直观的方式去了解一个国家的文化包括日常生活，口语交际等。为了促进中外交流，帮助中文母语者更好地理解和运用美剧中的一些对话，本论文根据语言学中的对话合作原则分析了经典美剧《摩登家庭》中一些对话的含义，让读者更好地理解对话中隐藏的意思，了解美国日常对话文化，并且能更加熟练准确地去运用一些语句和外国人交流，不引起意思偏离或者歧义。
