On Cantonese Culture’s Introduction and Translation from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology_英语论文

摘要

粤文化是中华文化不可或缺的一部分，有独树一帜的风格特点，吸引着海外成千上万的游客前往广府地区旅游。习近平主席在2018年参观广州历史文化街区永庆坊时也强调了粤文化传承和传播的重要性。但目前对粤文化的译介尚无系统化的翻译研究，可能导致出现译本无法贴切地传达出粤文化的内涵和精髓，甚至引起错译和误解。生态翻译学是国内方兴未艾的跨学科翻译学说，旨在以生态学的整体观研究翻译生态、文本生态和“翻译群落”生态等各种翻译问题。该论文将回顾文化译介的研究成果，系统扼要地介绍生态翻译学的定义以及翻译生态环境和“三维转换”这两个重要概念，并通过研究广东粤剧艺术博物馆及陈家祠中的样本,从生态翻译学角度分析粤文化译介如何进行在语言维、文化维和交际维上提高语言整合适应选择度，以期从生态翻译学的角度总结适用于粤文化译介的常用规则，提出具体的翻译策略和翻译方法，从而更好地传播和诠释粤文化。

Abstract

Cantonese culture is an integral part of Chinese culture with distinctive features, which attracts millions of visitors overseas to travel to the Cantonese region. President Xi Jinping also emphasized the importance of inheriting and promoting Cantonese culture when he paid a visit to Yong Qing Fang in 2018, a historic conservation area in Guangzhou. However, there has not existed much systematic translation research on the introduction and translation of Cantonese culture. One of the consequences is that the translation fails to aptly convey the cultural connotation and essence and even causes misunderstandings. Eco-translatology, a growing translation theory in China, aims at studying translation ecologies, textual ecologies and “translation community” ecologies from the holistic view of ecology. The present thesis reviews the research results of cultural introduction and translation and briefly introduces the definition of Eco-translatology and two important concepts—Translational Eco-environment and “three-dimensional transformation”. By studying the samples in Cantonese Opera Art Museum and Chen Clan Academy, the thesis tries to enhance the holistic degree of adaptation and selection in linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions. It is expected to summarize some usual rules for the introduction and translation of Cantonese culture and put forward some concrete translation strategies and methods, thus better promoting and interpreting Cantonese culture.
