摘要 

理论上来说，颜色作为一种视觉效果时，所有人对于它的认知并无两异，但当今社会，颜色已不仅限于对物体的具体描述，颜色词的使用还与各国文化风情有着密不可分的联系，这也加大了跨文化交际的障碍。本文将以红、黄、绿、蓝、白、黑这几种常见的颜色词的使用为例，深入分析中英文基本颜色词文化内涵的异同点，发现思维方式、生活习惯、价值取向以及政治宗教背景的不同都会造成英汉颜色词文化内涵的差异。因此不论是翻译还是对外交流，都需要对颜色词的差异有深入的了解才能避免跨文化交流上的障碍。本文通过对红、黄、绿、蓝、白、黑这几种颜色词进行英汉文化差异对比，并对造成颜色词差异的原因进行分析，以便我们顺利地进行跨文化交际。
