摘要

随着各国文化交流的日益密切，越来越多国外的电影引进国内，这些外来电影是人们了解其他不同国家文化的资源。这些电影的字幕翻译的质量影响着观众对电影的看法，同时也影响着国内观众对不同文化的态度。本文将介绍有关电影字幕翻译的一些概念。更重要的是，本文将从目的论的角度出发，来分析电影《国王的演讲》的字幕翻译，并列举一些实例来详细说明目的论在该电影字幕翻译中的应用。

Abstract

Since the cultural communication between different countries is getting closer and closer, more and more foreign films are introduced in China, and people regard these films as resource to know more about other cultures. The quality of subtitle translation influences audience’s view of the films; furthermore, it also plays a significant part in audience’s attitude towards foreign cultures. This thesis will introduce some concepts about film subtitle translation. And more importantly, this thesis will analyze subtitle translation of the film the King’s Speech from the perspective of Skopos theory, and list some examples to illustrate the applications of Skopos theory in details.
