摘要 

本篇论文分析了“红”“白”“黑”“黄”“绿”几个典型的颜色词进行中英文化内涵的研究，并使用对比的方法，分析了解中西颜色词的异同，从而使人们更加了解中西文化，促进跨文化的交际。例如“红色”在中英的文化内涵差别较大，中文里表示喜庆，吉祥还有战争的含义，而英文里表示血腥，危险的含义。本文试图对造成这些异同的原因进行分析，从民族心理，地理、宗教，风俗，情感角度来解释其蕴含异同文化的原因。其目的是为了更加仔细的研究结果来看，中西方颜色词蕴含的文化因地理环境，民俗差异等原因所造成的差异较大，要正确使用和理解中英颜色词，还得需要了解中西方的地理，宗教，民族等的文化。
