本文首先介绍了主人公奥利弗，他是狄更斯小说中善良的体现，他有许多高尚的品质。其次，对费金等邪恶形象进行简要分析，然后通过对南希这一复杂形象的分析，说明南希最终冒着生命危险拯救了奥利弗是因为人性的善良。本文通过对《雾都孤儿》中人物的分析，最终得出结论: 狄更斯认为大多数人天生善良，但有时他们会被恶劣的外部环境扭曲。
