摘要 

《月亮与六便士》作为毛姆的“人性三部曲”之一，为人们展现了人性中矛盾而复杂的一面。毛姆将小说主人公思特里克兰德塑造成一位“艺术的狂热者，现实的反叛者”，实际上是折射出毛姆对人性矛盾、道德伦理的独特见解。而在毛姆的大多数作品中，主人公的命运安排大多被安排成现实世界与精神世界的抉择者，在《月亮与六便士》中也是如此。该论文主要围绕小说的人性主题，对小说人物思特里克兰德在理想与现实的矛盾中体现出的人性特点展开研究。思特里克兰德对艺术和现实表现出来的人性特征呈现矛盾的状态，同时该人物对女性的态度也间接折射出毛姆心中的女性形象。通过对该论题的讨论，笔者结合小说中思特里克兰德的人性问题，进一步地思考如何在理想与现实中寻求一个平衡点。
