An Analysis of the Power Relations in Animal Farm_

Abstract
Animal farm is a famous fable novel written by George Orwell. Through the conflict between animal and human beings, it demonstrated the aim of opposing totalitarianism and pursuing democracy.
The novel revolves around the point of power, which carries out the ups and downs of the plot. The overthrow of power is simple, but it is very difficult to master power. The oppressed suffered a long period of oppression, and finally launched a rebellion, but after the power was released, it still corrupted the new leader, which led to the persecution of the society again.
This thesis analyzes the position of power in society from three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the struggle of human beings for power. The second chapter analyzes the revolution of animals as the oppressed in order to resist the rule of power. The third chapter focus on the tragedy that the animal groups are corrupted by power again after they get the power. These conflicts around power reveal the darkness of individual dictatorships, and this paper would discuss the transformation of social institutions from the two opposites of autocracy and democracy.
